European Agreement on the Abolition of Visas for Refugees 1959
- The European Agreement on the Abolition of Visas for Refugees 1959 allows refugees who are lawfully resident in a state that is party to the Agreement to enter or leave another member state without a visa.
- The refugee must have a valid travel document issued in accordance with the Convention on the Status of Refugees 1951 or the Agreement relating to the issue of a travel document to refugees 1946.
- This agreement entitles refugees who hold a valid travel document to visit without a visa for up to 90 days to any of the countries that have ratified the 1959 Agreement.
