European Free Trade Association
- The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) consists of the following European states: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
- EFTA was founded by the Stockholm Convention on 3 May 1960.
- EFTA maintains the management of the EFTA Convention, the EEA Agreement, and EFTA Free Trade Agreements.
- EFTA has several free trade agreements with non-European Union countries, as well as declarations on cooperation and joint workgroups to improve trade.
- The free movement of citizens of EFTA member states is covered by the EEA Agreement and Switzerland's bilateral treaties with the EU. This means that citizens of EFTA member states may live and work in all other EFTA countries, and all EU countries, and citizens of EU countries may live and work in all EFTA countries.
