Minor National ID Card
- A Minor National ID card is issued to children under the ages of either 16, 18 or 21 depending on the issuing country's laws, to its nationals and citizens.
- These cards are a formal identification card that authorises the minor to travel to foreign countries in lieu of a national passport (where applicable). The acceptance of the document in lieu of a national passport will depend on the immigration authority’s regulations of the country to where the minor is travelling.
- Some minors travelling using either a passport or a National ID Card, when travelling unaccompanied, are also required to have consent letters or forms signed by the absent parents/legal guardians/notaries, or solicitors.
